Building Our Small City at ad:tech

Lots of people comment on how cool our booth is when they see it at ad:tech. Most probably don’t have any idea how much work goes into shipping it and assembling it. This video covers a five-hour process in about two minutes.

As an interesting aside, all the assembly HAS to be done by union labor. To give you an idea of how much the union runs things - we were told that we couldn’t shoot interviews with our camera on the floor. They said we were taking away work from the union. It’s amazing how a trade show about digital media and marketing can’t allow this.

RS #12 - Randy Corke of Utterz

Some days back I talked about how I thought Utterz got it right with their take on mobile blogging/podcasting. This is our interview with Co-Founder, Randy Corke. He talks about how easy Utterz is to setup and use from any phone.

RS #11 - Matt Galligan of Socialthing!

Before SXSWwe started to hear a lot of buzz about Socialthing! being the breakout app of the show. Why? Well, it was trying to solve a problem that most of us in the social media world face daily - too many social networking destinations to manage. By the time you sign into your Twitter, and your facebook, and you flickr and… well, you’ve wasted a half hour. Socialthing! allows you to sign into one application and track your “lifestream” and publish out to multiple networks at once.

Christopher talked with CEO, Matt Galligan about what inspired him to create Socialthing! and his reaction to all the buzz. Oh, and if you’d like to try the private beta, use code “mediatrust” and you’re in!

SXSW Daily Update - Tuesday

The final video update from SXSW. We wrapped up some loose production ends, said some goodbyes to some amazing people, and prepared for a night of events including the Digg and Rockband parties.

SXSW Daily Diary - Monday

In yesterday’s update we saw a clear theme of empowerment in the web 2.0 space. We talked with many companies that are helping individuals express themselves through video, print, and photography. Today had a theme as well. It was about perspective in the social media space. How does your perspective change your approach to playing in the web 2.0 sandbox?

We were invited to the frog design studios on Congress Street. From there we headed to the convention center where we got a chance to speak with Avenue A Razorfish, Henry Grey PR, and SoSauce.
